In the rapidly advancing world of business, adaptability is a must. It’s important to know how to learn quickly and apply fresh skills and information in the process. In the Evolution MPC training program, we practice identifying the lessons we want to acquire and then deconstructing them to master each element.
It begins with goal setting. By putting specific objectives in place, it’s easier to maintain focus and continue in the right direction. These Evolution MPC goals should be as detailed, realistic, and purposeful as possible. It won’t do to simply say we want to learn a new language, for instance. Perhaps we’d like to learn the basic pleasantries of a foreign language, however, and understand when to use them. This way, we’re prepared for upcoming business trips.
Once the goal is set, it’s time for deconstruction. It’s a matter of taking things apart. Using the language learning example, the process can be broken into four basic steps. The first is attaching meaning to important phrases. The second is recognizing them when spoken. The third is practicing them out loud. The fourth is understanding their cultural significance and functions.
It’s also important to be prepared for challenges that will inevitably arise. This may be a matter of minimizing distractions while learning, or gathering all the necessary resources in one place. These details will help things run smoothly and with sustained momentum.
Taking these steps helps us stay on the edge of innovation in our field.
